Welcome to AIM-NIMAS

Section 300.172 of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) focuses on access to instructional materials, mandating that states and districts must provide core instructional materials in accessible formats (Digital, Audio, Braille, and Large Print) to students who require them.  District must embed language in contracts with publishers obligating them to provide an accessible file format to the National Instructional Materials Access Center (NIMAC).  Learn more below.
